How a One-Page Website Goes Live in 3 Days

8 November 2026 · 3 min read

From go to live in 3 days. A step by step look at how a simple one-page website gets built for a Malaysian small business.

Many business owners put off getting a website because they imagine months of meetings, endless revisions and a long list of technical decisions. For a simple one-page site, it does not have to be that way.

Once you say go and send your content, a clean one-page website can be live in three days. Here is exactly how that works, step by step, so you know what to expect and what you need to prepare.

Before day 1: say go and send your content

The clock starts when two things happen: you confirm you want to go ahead, and you send the content. Most delays in website projects come from waiting for content, so having it ready is the biggest thing you can do to speed things up.

Here is what to send, usually all through WhatsApp:

  • **Your business name and logo**, if you have one
  • **A short description** of what you do, in a few sentences
  • **Your menu, services or listings**, as text or clear photos of a printed version
  • **Opening hours, address and contact number**
  • **Six to ten good photos** of your shop, products or work
  • **Any reviews** you want to highlight
  • **Which languages** you want, such as English, Malay or Chinese
  • **Your domain name**, if you already own one

Do not worry if your photos are taken on a phone. Clear, well lit phone photos work perfectly.

Day 1: structure and first draft

On the first day, your content gets organised into a simple layout that works for your type of business:

  • A top section with your name, a strong photo and a clear button, such as "WhatsApp to order" or "Book a viewing"
  • Your menu, services or listings, written as easy to read text
  • Photos and reviews
  • Hours, address and a map
  • A final contact section

By the end of the day, you receive a preview link on WhatsApp so you can see the first draft on your own phone.

Day 2: your feedback and refinements

Day 2 is all about your feedback. Look at the preview the way a customer would and note anything you want changed. Common requests include:

  • Swapping a photo for a better one
  • Fixing a menu item name or description
  • Adjusting wording to sound more like you
  • Adding a missing detail, like parking info or a halal note

Changes are made the same day, and translated versions are checked so they read naturally, not like a machine translation.

Tip: collect all your feedback into one message. It is much faster than sending changes one by one throughout the day.

Day 3: final checks and going live

On the final day, everything gets tested and launched:

  • **Phone testing** on different screen sizes so it looks right for every customer
  • **Speed check** so the page loads quickly, even on mobile data
  • **Button checks** so every WhatsApp, call and map link works
  • **Basic SEO setup**, including your page title and description so Google understands your business
  • **Domain connection**, so your site lives at your own web address
  • **Going live**, with the final link sent to you

After launch: put your link to work

A website only helps if people see it. Once you are live:

  • Add the link to your Google Maps listing
  • Put it in your Instagram, TikTok and Facebook bios
  • Pin it in your WhatsApp Business profile
  • Print it on your menu, packaging or name card

Example: our demo businesses

Our demo sites for Kunang Coffee Club, Nasi Lemak Lima Daun, Velvet Pelita and Wynne Lau Property, all fictional businesses, were each built following this same three day process. Each one has a clear menu or listings, a WhatsApp button, hours and location, and language versions where they make sense.

Your next step

Start gathering your content today: your menu or services, hours, a few good photos and a short description. Once that is ready, three days is all it takes.
